At least I got a 9 out of you. Now I feel complete.

Not bad for a start.

Its basicly a generic chase theme in my opinion haha. Its got a cool lil beat to it. I think you used a few of the good old presets from FL =). Thats alright though for the most part its ok. Its not the best song i've heard here on NG but we all have to start out somewhere. Do not let people like the fella below me keep you from writing. The way to get better is to continue. So, please do continue.

Yojinbo responds:

I know, I had no intention to stop doing what I do just because of him/her. ;P

I'll do my best so that the next song/beat is much better than this one.
Thanks for the feedback and the encouragement!

Pretty nice.

The opening was good but up till you added the crash and such it was a little bland. I hear room for improvement indeed but at the same time i'm happy with what i'm hearing. Then it goes kinda dancey and thats good also. All in all its alright. I think that what Kazmo was talking about is that you were using the triplets in a higher octave and it gave it a slight off sound. I could be wrong though. Anyway it sounded ok to me. The song was good however it didn't just jump out at me and say Boo! LOL. All in all though it was a good listen. So good work and congrats on getting #1 of the week.

JohnnyFrizz responds:

Thanks a lot wyldfyre! Haha I was actually surprised to see this on Top5 lol
But it seems like Zelda fans have been prowling around this one for a while :D

Honestly I would have prefer my song Gotta Start Moving got Top 5 since this is one an extremely old track, but it was the NGers choice!

Its pretty good.

A lil repetititve and its cool to listen to for sure however i think you could of dropped the volocity on some of these instruments slightly so others can stand out more. All in all its a good song and a very nice listen. Got that "Give respect to the dead" feel to it!

Blasphem-E responds:

ya, I probably should have lowered the velocity. But ya, the guitar was just a solo jamming sort of thing, so I wanted it to stand out. But yes, I should have lowered that at points.

Thanks for the review

TURN it down!

I have my speakers set to 2 and this is still to loud for me. This is one of the problems alot of users her on NG have. they think louder is better and in alot of cases it isn't. I appologize if i sound rude but this is a pete peve of mine. This would be pretty decent if it wasn't blowing my ear drums out thanks to how loud it is. Its got an interesting beat and some cool concepts to it but the volume kills it for me.

otherwiseknownas responds:

i didn't have the intention of making it too loud in any way, and i truly apologize. that problem stems from the style i use to master the tracks. if an important sound is being drowned out, i turn it up. i appreciate the feedback and would be greatly appreciative if you let me know what you think of my other stuff.
cheers,
Connor

not bad for a covor.

I will say in singing you hit a few sour notes here and there (but no ones perfect) other times you sounded pretty good. I must give you some credit playing that guitar and singing and what not =). The mic quality needs a bit of work also but thats something that can't be helped to an extent. Keep it up!

Riviera15 responds:

thanks for the feedback=]

This is pretty hot.

Yeah, the song actually lives up to its name. IN the world of NG that is something great indeed. I'm a sucker for good guitar and.. yeah. This has it =) Wonderful work for sure!

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks!

not too bad!

Damn great job re creating the song. Even better job recording it. All in all it makes me wanna listen to the original. Its hard for me to tell if you did this in a DAW or recording it. Either way good work on all that.

Wyldfyre1

Kool-Aid responds:

Thanks! I did it through myself actually recording. I put a mic up to my amp and used a program called Sonor Producer 8 to get it all on the computer.

First review (I think).

First thing that came to my mind seeing the name is "This has to be epic" but then again not all legacy's are epic are they? Seriously though this is a lovely loop and it works for what it is. Its not perfect meaning it can have more in it to bring out the beauty in this a bit more (forgive me lack of sleep i've been sick as a dog) but all in all this is a nice listen! Keep it up my friend.

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks for the review. What actually inspired me was Daft Punk's theme music (actually a remix thereof) for the upcoming film "Tron Legacy", which was quite slow and ambient, with that steady beat. Although this sounds completely different, that's the main inspiration. Not really epic at all. ;)
Oh, and I hope you feel better soon. :(
